Mercedes Benz fashion week!!

I have to say that I am SOOO happy that Mercedes Benz fashion week is being shown on youtube live and repeated so if I miss a show I can go back and watch it later in the day!

This year so far I have been so surprised with what has been put down the runway. I’ve seen bold patterns, I’ve seen the bod color, I’ve seen the tailor jackets that I would love to have but it would probably cost more than I make in 3 months to buy, I’ve seen the amazing elegant dresses that I would KILL FOR! The advancment of fashion this year has been surprising in the most perfect and best of ways. So far (I’m not going to name them all but I will  give the link) I’ve seen Luca Luca, Rebecca Taylor, Richard Cjai, and Nichalos K. That’s not all don’t worry there’s been a couple more designers. Sadly I’m not able to take ACTUAL pictures because I’m here in CA still – . - I can’t wait till I can go see the real Mercedes Fashion week.

Mercedes Benz fashion week started on the 8th of September and goes until the 15th and is showing live and repeated shows of the designs on youtube and if you scroll down to the bottom of the page past the pictues there is the link for the youtube channel.  

Tomorrow on 10th Lacoste, Jill Stuart, Vivienne Tam, Charlotte Ronson, and Monique Lhuillier are showing and I’m expecting the wonderful creativity to continue.

On the 11th Derek Lam, Tracy Reese, Diane Von Furstenberg, Custo Barcelona, and Tommy Hilfiger are showing.

On the 12th you expect to see the wonderful Carolina Herrera, Carlos Miele, the AMAZING BETSEY JOHNSON!!! and Perry Ellis!!! I am personally most excited for the Betsey Johnson show if no one noticed that all caps.

Then on the 13th Badgley Mischka, Vera Wang!, Herve Legerby max Azria, TIBI, and Narciso Rodriguez!!!

Then to kick off the last day of the amazing week of fab fashion is J. Mendel, Anna Sui, and Elie Tahari!!

Now when i say this I really and truely mean this. Fashion week depresses me. Why? It’s simple. When I look at how beautiful and sophicticated the clothes are and how well they’re accesorized and what not it makes me realize that I have a long long way to go before I’m even remotely good as them. But if you don’t try you never know.

Well, it’s after fashion weeks live shows and after watching all or most of the shows, I noticed that in some of the shows, mostly Vera Wangs, you could see some of the models…attributes. The tops are fairly sheer or have tiny holes in them that you can see through the fabric. I mean I understand that you can’t put the models in bra’s but honestly if it had been up to me I would have at least done nipple tape or some form of make-up where she’s covered. No girl wants to walk in awesome clothes and have her girl’s being seen.
