Back to School Shopping

As a high school/college student I know that back to school shopping is a pain because in this economy no one wants to spend any money on something they don;t need…well the most of us don’t. So before you go out to go back to school shopping perhaps you should continue reading this.

On this page I’m going to give you advice and a few pointers on how to save money while also making it appear that you have a new wardrobe.

1) Don’t toss out anything in your closet that still fits! Ok throw it out if it’s ripped or disgusting. Instead keep it and buy JEWELRY. Jewelry can dress anything up or down and depending on how you pair it, it could look like your outfit is new.

2) Keep something, and buy one new thing for your outfit at a cheap store such as forever21. Now for this trick, it’s like going into your closet and choosing a top and pairing it with some crazy pair of pants that you’ve never paired the shirt with before. The bottoms or the top-which ever you choose to keep- can make it appear that you’ve gone and bought something expensive.

3) YARD SALE!!! Or just selling online! This is for people who want to go out and buy new clothes. The first rule of buying anything new is that you for every new thing you buy, sell the same amount of old things to make money to use to buy your new things with. This also cuts back on clutter and this tip can be used for shopping for anything else such as Christmas shopping (I know that’s a little whiles away but it’s just an example).

4) Sew things on it. Get creative! If you have a pair of jeans that you really don’t like and you want to get new ones, put pins no it, dye it rip it cut the legs off and make them shorts! Then with the extra fabric you could make a bag or book covers or an accesory like a headband.
